I wish I'd have found this site years ago. Not only is it super easy to use, but the support response is outstanding. Typical email response times are a few minutes and nearly always under an hour, and the online chat is entirely available. Expatfile helped me get refunds I didn't know I was due, and with them I managed to refile some past years, but unfortunately due to US tax law it was a limited number. Previously I used Turbotax for years while in the US and then as an expat, but I've found it becoming more and more complex with the questions being more targetted to an accountant, not so with expatfile, everything is in human non-professional English. I can't praise this company enough.

I have used Turbotax for the last 5 years and this year I switched to your service and I wished I would have switched sooner. You software is much easier to use and there is no up-selling adds over and over again while filling out the forms. Bravo!!

Before moving to Sweden from the US two years ago, I had been using TurboTax to do our taxes and it always seemed to take a long time, going through many tedious questions that mostly never applied to us. Perhaps they were being thorough, but I just remember feeling like it took forever. Yet with ExpatFile, it seems like it takes no time at all! Especially this year, as they had most of my data from last year's filing. But even last year, it was over way faster than I expected. They just get right to the point, asking only for the info they need and then it's done! Highly recommend.

This made things way easier than HR Block and Turbotax. Last year in 22 my taxes were outrageous and even though I paid HR Block to provide me with all the proper documents, they did not. Expatfile cut my taxes in half... Well almost in half and provided me with documents necessary. I also like that there is audit protection. So glad I found this company.

I was worried about how to do our taxes this year as we've been living abroad here in Ecuador. I like doing my own taxes and working through our W2s but it was turning into a big headache with TurboTax and FreeTaxUSA. We have a foreign bank account here and I had lots of questions how to handle that. I was really excited to discover Expatfile, literally built for people like us. The program knows exactly what type of questions to ask specifically for people living outside the US. Easy to use, and very intuitive. I've used packages such as TurboTax and TaxAct and this was by far the best, since it's customized for Expats. You don't need to go searching for the options and exceptions for foreign residents.

Holy cow. I’ve tried TurboTax, tried many other tax software. I don’t have the most complex tax situation, but have lots of investment income back in the US (multiple 1099B / DIV forms), fully live elsewhere. It was nuts how easy it was. I don’t know if it will be applicable to everyone, but it legitimately took me less than 30 minutes. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
